5 Books Every Entrepreneur Should Re-Read for Growth & Success

March 18, 20252 min read

The best books aren’t the ones you read once and shelve—they’re the ones you revisit again and again. Why? Because every time you re-read, you’re at a new stage of life and business. You see lessons differently, apply them in new ways, and grow deeper.

For me, there are five books I re-read every two years without fail. These books sharpen my mindset, improve my leadership, and fuel my journey of Personal Evolution—the Brotherhood Beyond Business domain focused on constant growth and leveling up.

Why Personal Evolution Requires Re-Reading

Growth isn’t about chasing the newest trend or book release. It’s about revisiting timeless wisdom until it becomes part of who you are.

Personal Evolution means:

  • Always learning

  • Applying wisdom to your current challenges

  • Reinforcing foundational truths when life tries to distract you

Re-reading gives you new clarity at every stage of your journey.

The 5 Books I Re-Read Every 2 Years

1. Essentialism by Greg McKeown

A guide to focusing on “less but better.” It reminds me to cut out the noise and double down on what truly matters.

2. Chop Wood Carry Water by Joshua Metcalf

A parable on discipline and mastery. This book grounds me in the power of daily reps and delayed gratification.

3. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey

A classic that reshaped my leadership and personal habits. Every re-read gives me a fresh lens on effectiveness.

4. Extreme Ownership by Jocko Willink

A book that redefines responsibility. It challenges me to own every outcome—in business, family, and life.

5. $100M Leads by Alex Hormozi

Practical, tactical, and bold. I revisit it to sharpen my marketing game and remind myself how to drive growth with clarity.

Why Re-Reading Creates Real Growth

The first time you read a book, you get inspiration. The second, third, or fourth time—you get transformation. That’s when the lessons sink in, and you start living them.

If you struggle with consistency, start small:

  • Set a goal to re-read one book per quarter

  • Listen on audiobook during commutes

  • Keep notes from past readings and compare insights
